He has worked with a number of UK producers & financiers, and a wide range of screenwriters and filmmakers and National and regional film funds such as Creative England, Northern Ireland Screen, Irish Film Board, EU Creative Media, Ffilm Cymru Wales, Creative Scotland, Film London, Screen Yorkshire and The BFI.
Matthew’s prior media career spans 20 years across advertising, design and music as well as film and television, including working on the creative launch of the globally successful, animated music phenomenon Gorillaz. From 2012 to 2014, he was Development Executive at Matador Pictures and was an integral team member responsible for the company successfully receiving multiple slate fund awards. He helped found Catalyst Global Media, and their diverse film and television slate in 2015, along with recommending productions for 3rd party finance from internal, propriety funds. He was a consultant Development Producer for Blonde to Black Pictures in 2016, Co-Producing Two For Joy, 2018, with the support of The BFI and Creative England.
